Safety Notes & Unboxing Inspection
Environment Safety
Place the miner in a well-ventilated, dry, and low-dust environment. Ensure sufficient space for airflow at both the air intake and exhaust (recommended clearance: at least 50 cm in front and back). The ambient temperature should ideally be maintained between 5°C and 35°C.
Unboxing Inspection
Check the package contents against the packing list to confirm that all components are included, such as the miner unit, power cables, and control board cables. Inspect the chassis and heatsinks for any visible physical damage that may have occurred during transportation.
Network Connection (Example: Antminer)
Steps
Connect the Ethernet Cable
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the miner and the other end into the network port provided by your ISP.Access the Miner Management Interface
Ensure that the device you use to access the miner (PC or mobile device) is on the same local network as the miner; otherwise, the management interface cannot be reached. The default access address can be found on the label attached to the miner or obtained from the manufacturer’s support team.
Navigate to Network Settings
In the management interface, go to:
Network → Interfaces → WANConfigure PPPoE (if required)
Some models require PPPoE configuration. If your miner does not support or require PPPoE, you may skip this step.Click Switch Protocol
Change Protocol to PPPoE
Enter the ISP-provided credentials:
PAP/CHAP Username
PAP/CHAP Password
Click Save & Apply
After a short moment, the miner should successfully connect to the internet.
Enable Wireless Hotspot (If Supported)
Some miners have the wireless hotspot feature enabled by default.
If you need to modify the Wi-Fi password:
Log in to the miner management interface (ensure your device is connected to the same wireless network).
Navigate to:
Network → Wireless → Wireless Configuration → Wireless
To change the password:
Go to:
System → Administration → Router PasswordEnter the new password and save.
If encryption options are available, it is recommended to select:
WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed Mode
Then set the password in the Key field and save the configuration.
Tip:
The above steps provide a general networking guide. For model-specific instructions, please refer to the manufacturer’s manual or contact the device vendor’s support team.
General Network & Mining Software Configuration
After the miner is powered on and connected to the network, you will need to configure the mining software via a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
Step 1: Find Your Miner’s IP Address
Most miner brands provide an official IP scanning tool.
Download the tool from the official website of your miner manufacturer.
Common tools include:
IP Reporter (for Antminer)
Whatsminer Tool / Finder (for Whatsminer)
Run the tool on your computer and press the IP Report button on the miner.
The software will automatically detect and display the IP address of the miner on your local network.
Record this IP address.
Step 2: Log in to the Miner Dashboard
Open a browser on a device connected to the same LAN as the miner.
Enter the miner’s IP address in the address bar.
A login dialog will appear.
Enter the username and password.
The default credentials are usually listed on the device label or provided by the manufacturer.
Once logged in, the miner configuration page will appear.
Mining Pool Configuration
Enter the following information in the mining configuration page:
URL (Mining Pool Address)
Use the mining pool address provided on the official website.
Example for KuPool (for reference only; always check the official website for the latest address):
Asia
stratum+tcp://ltc-cn.kupool.com:8888
Global
stratum+tcp://ltc.kupool.com:8888
Worker
This identifies your miner in the mining pool.
Naming format:
Subaccount.WorkerName
Example:
miner001.rig01
Password
Optional. You may leave it blank or set a custom value.
Final Step
After completing all settings:
Click Save & Apply or Save Settings.
The miner will usually restart automatically for the new configuration to take effect.
Once the reboot is complete, the miner should appear on the mining pool dashboard within approximately 5 minutes.
