1. Understanding PRL Pearl Coin
1.1 What is PRL
PRL is the network token of the Pearl Network.
The Pearl Network uses PoUW, Proof of Useful Work, a useful proof-of-work mechanism. PRL employs the PearlHash mining algorithm, supporting GPU devices to participate in network computing.
Currently, PRL mining mainly uses NVIDIA GPUs, with common devices including NVIDIA RTX 50, 40, and 30 series graphics cards. The current KuPool tutorial recommends GPUs have at least 6GB of VRAM.
Unlike coins such as LTC and ZEC, which are dominated by ASIC professional miners, PRL is mainly mined using GPU miners or GPU servers.
1.2 What is PearlHash
PearlHash is the mining algorithm used by PRL.
The mining software calls the GPU to perform PearlHash computation tasks and submits qualifying results to KuPool.
KuPool calculates mining rewards based on the effective work submitted by miners and the current settlement rules. The current KuPool PRL tutorial shows that PRL uses the PPS (Pay Per Share) reward distribution method; specific fees and payment rules are subject to the KuPool account page and latest announcements.
1.3 Differences Between PRL Mining and ASIC Mining
Coins such as LTC, BTC, and ZEC currently mainly use ASIC professional miners designed for fixed algorithms.
PRL mainly uses GPU devices.
The main differences between the two types of devices include:
GPU Miners
- Require installation of operating system and GPU drivers;
- Require downloading mining kernels;
- Require configuration of startup commands;
- Can adjust parameters for individual GPUs;
- Performance varies significantly among different GPU models;
- Can switch to other compatible GPU tasks;
- Software, drivers, and parameters greatly affect stability.
ASIC Miners
- Usually configured via web backend to input pool parameters;
- Devices support only specific algorithms;
- Configuration is relatively fixed;
- Maintenance focuses on hash boards, chip temperature, and power supply;
- Devices have relatively single-purpose use.
Therefore, PRL tutorials need to focus on GPU compatibility, drivers, mining software, and GPU parameters, and cannot directly apply ASIC miner configuration methods.
2. Preparations Before Mining
2.1 GPU Requirements
PRL currently mainly uses GPU devices for mining.
Common devices listed in the current KuPool tutorial include:
- NVIDIA RTX 50 series;
- NVIDIA RTX 40 series;
- NVIDIA RTX 30 series;
- Other NVIDIA GPUs supported by PearlHash kernels;
- Some AMD RX 50 series and newer models;
- Some Intel Arc series GPUs.
Some AMD and Intel Arc models can participate in PRL mining, but actual earnings may differ from NVIDIA devices.
It is recommended that GPUs have at least 6GB of VRAM.
When selecting devices, confirm:
- GPU model is supported by the current mining kernel;
- VRAM capacity meets requirements;
- Driver version is compatible with the kernel;
- GPU has no VRAM errors;
- GPU does not frequently drop drivers;
- GPU cooling is normal;
- Power supply can meet total power consumption;
- Motherboard can recognize all GPUs.
The following devices are not recommended for PRL mining:
- GPUs with insufficient VRAM;
- GPUs that have VRAM errors;
- GPUs that frequently drop cards or crash;
- Devices with long-term outdated drivers;
- Multi-GPU miners with insufficient power margin;
- Models not explicitly supported by the current mining kernel.
2.2 Other Hardware Requirements
Besides GPUs, a complete GPU miner requires:
- CPU that meets system operation requirements;
- Sufficient system memory;
- Stable solid-state drive;
- Motherboard that can recognize all GPUs;
- PCIe riser cards in good condition;
- Power supply with sufficient wattage and connectors;
- Stable wired network;
- Adequate cooling and ventilation conditions.
The power supply should not operate at full load for extended periods.
When calculating power supply capacity, consider:
- Total GPU power consumption;
- CPU and motherboard power consumption;
- Fan power consumption;
- Hard drive and other device power consumption;
- Startup peak power;
- Safety margin.
2.3 Power Requirements
The total power consumption of a GPU miner depends on GPU model, quantity, and parameter settings.
Before powering on, confirm:
- Voltage meets power supply requirements;
- Socket and power cords have sufficient rated current;
- PDU can handle actual load;
- Circuit breaker capacity is sufficient;
- Grounding is normal;
- Power lines are secure and not overheating;
- GPU power connectors are fully plugged in;
- Riser card power method meets safety requirements;
- No circuit exceeds safe load.
Do not use ordinary household power strips with insufficient rated power to connect multi-GPU miners.
When calculating electricity costs, prioritize using power meter or smart PDU readings of total wall power consumption rather than only calculating GPU power consumption shown by mining software.
2.4 Network Requirements
Miners should use a stable wired network.
Before starting, confirm:
- Router can access the internet normally;
- Network cables are connected properly;
- DHCP function is working;
- Miner can obtain an IP address;
- DNS resolution is normal;
- Firewall does not block mining software;
- Network does not frequently drop packets;
- Latency from miner to KuPool access node is stable;
- System time and time zone are correct.
For large mining farms, it is recommended to configure:
- Primary and backup networks;
- Fixed IP or DHCP address reservation;
- Dedicated miner network;
- Switch port monitoring;
- Network outage alerts;
- Proxy service operation status alerts.
2.5 Cooling Requirements
GPU miners continuously generate heat during operation.
Ensure that:
- GPU intake areas are unobstructed;
- Hot air is expelled promptly;
- Hot air does not re-enter the miner;
- Reasonable spacing is maintained between GPUs;
- Ambient temperature is within device limits;
- Fans are operating normally;
- Dust is cleaned regularly;
- GPU core and VRAM temperatures are within normal ranges.
If using GPU servers, also check:
- Server airflow channels;
- Cabinet airflow direction;
- Server fans;
- Hot and cold aisles in data center;
- GPU throttling status;
- Data center air conditioning and exhaust capacity.
2.6 Operating System
PRL mining can use:
- Windows 10;
- Windows 11;
- Linux;
- Professional mining OS like HiveOS;
- Other GPU management systems supporting PearlHash kernels.
KuPool currently recommends:
- Windows mainly for remote operation and standard GPU miners;
- Linux mainly for GPU servers and professional computing devices;
- Use professional mining management systems for multiple miners or centralized management.
2.7 GPU Driver Check
Before mining, confirm:
- GPU drivers are correctly installed;
- System recognizes all GPUs;
- No GPU errors in Device Manager;
- Mining software supports current driver version;
- GPU does not frequently drop drivers;
- System time and time zone are normal;
- GPU is not heavily occupied by other programs.
On Windows, open "Device Manager" and check under "Display adapters" for all GPUs.
If a yellow exclamation mark appears next to a GPU, first troubleshoot:
- Drivers;
- PCIe riser cards;
- GPU power supply;
- Motherboard BIOS;
- System resources;
- GPU hardware status.
2.8 Windows System Settings
It is recommended to complete the following settings:
- Disable system auto-sleep;
- Disable hard drive auto-sleep;
- Prevent Windows from auto-restarting for updates during mining;
- Set sufficient virtual memory;
- Add mining software directory to security software exclusions;
- Close unnecessary programs that may occupy GPU;
- Set system to auto-login;
- Set mining program to auto-run on startup;
- Ensure system time auto-sync.
Security software may identify some mining programs as risky software.
This does not mean all mining software is safe. Only download from official developer pages or trusted KuPool links. Do not run programs from unknown sources.
3. KuPool Registration, Login, and Sub-accounts

When creating a PRL sub-account, it is recommended to name it based on mining farm, customer, data center, or device type, for example:
- prl-hk01;
- prl-gpu-a;
- prl-4090;
- customer01-prl;
- server-room02.
Miner identification usually consists of sub-account and worker name.
Example:
prl-hk01.GPU-001
Where:
- prl-hk01 is the KuPool sub-account;
- GPU-001 is the worker name;
- The dot separates the sub-account and worker name.
Different mining software may have different ways to fill in account and worker names.
Some software merges the two as:
sub-account.worker-name
Some software separates sub-account and worker name.
Fill in according to KuPool’s provided access parameters and mining software instructions during actual configuration.
4. Preparing PRL Payment Address
After configuring the PRL miner, you also need to bind a valid PRL payment address on KuPool.
Once the address is successfully verified and activated, KuPool will send PRL earnings that meet the payout threshold to this address according to current settlement and payment rules.
1. Using the Official PRL Wallet
Visit the official PRL wallet page and register.
After logging in:
- Click "My Wallet";
- Find "Receive Address";
- Click the copy button below;
- Obtain the PRL wallet address;
- Verify the address is complete;
2. Backing Up Wallet Recovery Information
After creating the official wallet, immediately back up wallet recovery information.
On the wallet page, find:

You can choose to:
- Copy Key, copy the private key;
- Copy Phrase, copy the mnemonic phrase;
- Or back up both private key and mnemonic phrase.
The private key and mnemonic phrase represent control over wallet assets.

Note that KuPool only requires the public PRL payment address and will never ask users for private keys or mnemonic phrases.

- Search for PRL;

Before using a new address, it is recommended to:
- Verify the first 6 characters of the address;
- Verify the last 6 characters of the address;
- Confirm the network is Pearl Network;
- Ensure the address has no extra spaces;
- Confirm it is not an address of another coin;
- Check minimum deposit amount;
- Perform a small test deposit when using for the first time;
5. Binding PRL Payment Address on KuPool
After obtaining your PRL wallet address, complete the binding by following these steps:
- Log into your KuPool account, then click Mining - Payment Settings in sequence;
- Click [Sub-account], select your sub-account from the dropdown list;
- Click "Payment Settings";
- Select the coin for which you want to set the address, then click to modify the address;
- Enter the correct payment address and verify it, then fill in remarks and click next;
- Check if the payment switch is enabled;
5.1 Address Modification Freeze Period
Please note that after each new addition or modification of an address, payments will be suspended for 48 hours.
During the freeze period:
- Mining rewards continue to be calculated normally;
- Rewards enter the KuPool account balance;
- No payments are sent to the wallet temporarily;
- Payments resume on the first eligible settlement day after the freeze ends.
Specific freeze status and duration are subject to actual display on KuPool pages.
5.2 Security Reminders When Binding Addresses
When binding addresses, please note:
- KuPool only requires the public payment address;
- Do not enter private keys or mnemonic phrases;
- Do not provide email verification codes to others;
- Do not use wrapped PRL addresses from other networks;
- Blockchain transfers are irreversible;
- Verify addresses character by character before submission;
- Check wallet minimum deposit amounts;
- Confirm you are visiting the official KuPool page before modifying addresses.
6. Downloading PRL Mining Software
6.1 Supported Mining Software
KuPool’s current PRL tutorial recommends the following software:

The same GPU may have different hashrate, power consumption, and stability on different kernels.
It is recommended to first test with KuPool’s currently recommended version and avoid using unverified old or modified versions directly.
6.3 Software Update Notes
PearlHash kernels may continue to be optimized.
For example, later versions of SRBMiner-Multi have optimized PearlHash performance for NVIDIA RTX 20, 30, 40, 50 series and some AMD devices. Different versions may also provide additional parameters for specific GPUs.
Before upgrading kernels, it is recommended to:
- Record the original version;
- Save the original startup commands;
- Record original hashrate and power consumption;
- First upgrade a small number of test machines;
- Compare effective hashrate;
- Check rejection rate;
- Check stability;
- Keep old versions for rollback.
7. Obtaining KuPool PRL Proxy
KuPool’s current PRL tutorial uses a proxy access method.
If you need to use a PRL proxy, please contact your customer manager to obtain:
- Proxy program;
- Proxy deployment tutorial;
- KuPool access parameters;
- Account filling format;
- Miner connection address;
- Port;
- Node information;
- Backup access methods.
KuPool’s official tutorial currently requires users to contact the KuPool key account manager to get the PRL proxy.
Do not use proxy programs from unknown sources or unknown proxy addresses provided by others.
Using unofficial proxies may cause:
- Hashrate being redirected;
- Earnings going to others’ accounts;
- Proxy program being remotely controlled;
- Internal network device information leakage;
- High rejected shares;
- Proxy disconnections;
- Inability to receive KuPool technical support.
8. Deploying KuPool PRL Proxy
8.1 Proxy Device Requirements
Proxy devices usually need to meet:
- Network connectivity with GPU miners;
- Stable network connection;

9. Windows Miner Configuration
9.1 Configuration Structure
PRL startup commands usually include:
- Mining program name;
- PearlHash algorithm;
- KuPool proxy address;

- Worker name;
- Log parameters;
- Auto-reconnect parameters;
- Other GPU or kernel parameters.
Parameter names differ slightly between kernels.
For official configuration, use the proxy parameters and kernel instructions provided by KuPool.
11. Checking Miner Operating Status
11.1 Local Checks
After starting the miner, check:
- Number of GPUs recognized by the system;
- Number of GPUs recognized by the kernel;
- Hashrate per GPU;
- Total hashrate of the machine;
- GPU core temperature;
- GPU VRAM temperature;
- Fan speed;

- Whether the kernel restarts frequently.
If 8 GPUs are installed, the mining kernel should also recognize 8 GPUs.

Log into KuPool:

- Switch to the PRL sub-account;
- Open miner management;
- Check if the miner is online;
- View real-time hashrate;
- View average hashrate;
- View rejection rate;
- View PRL earnings;

After starting the miner, valid shares must be submitted first before KuPool backend gradually forms effective hashrate statistics.
11.3 Local Hashrate vs. KuPool Hashrate
Local hashrate is the instantaneous value calculated by mining software based on GPU status.
KuPool hashrate is estimated based on valid shares received over a period.
Therefore, situations may occur where:
- Local hashrate is present, but KuPool does not yet show it;
- KuPool real-time hashrate is higher than local hashrate;
- KuPool real-time hashrate is lower than local hashrate;
- Short-term fluctuations are large;
- Long-term average hashrate is relatively stable.
When judging if a miner is operating normally, prioritize observing longer-term average hashrate, valid shares, and rejection rate.
12. Viewing and Calculating Earnings
12.1 Composition of Earnings
Main earnings for PRL miners on KuPool are:
- PRL mining rewards.
Whether other bonuses or additional earnings exist is subject to KuPool account page and latest announcements.

14.1 Mining Software Closes Immediately After Opening

You can add at the end of the command:

14.2 Unable to Connect to KuPool Proxy

- If miner and proxy have network connectivity;

- If proxy successfully connects to KuPool;

14.3 Account Verification Failed
Check:
- If KuPool sub-account is correct;
- If worker name is correct;
- If separator between sub-account and worker name is correct;
- If PRL wallet address was mistakenly entered;
- If there are Chinese spaces;
- If Chinese punctuation is used;
- If kernel requires separate input of account and worker name.
14.4 Local Hashrate Present but No KuPool Data
Check:
- If there are Accepted Shares;
- If just started mining;

It is recommended to first restore default parameters, then troubleshoot network and proxy.
14.8 Kernel Frequently Restarts
Check:
- If GPU parameters are too high;
- If power supply is insufficient;
- If GPU power connectors are loose;
- If riser cards are faulty;
- If drivers crash;
- If temperatures are too high;
- If virtual memory is insufficient;
- If kernel version is compatible;
- If system has abnormalities.
14.9 GPU Temperature Too High
Solutions:
- Clean dust;
- Improve air intake and exhaust;
- Adjust GPU spacing;
- Increase fan speed;
- Reduce power consumption;
- Lower ambient temperature;
- Check thermal paste;
- Check thermal pads;
- Check GPU fans;
- Avoid hot air recirculation.
Do not only monitor GPU core temperature.
If the device supports VRAM temperature reading, also monitor VRAM temperature continuously.
14.10 Earnings Not Paid
Check:
- If PRL payout threshold is reached;
- If PRL address is bound;
- If address is activated;
- If payment switch is enabled;
- If within 48-hour freeze period;
- If KuPool is maintaining PRL wallet;
- If receiving wallet is normal;
- If there are payment delay announcements.
14.11 KuPool Shows Paid but Wallet Has No Receipt
Steps to handle:
- Go to KuPool payment records;
- Copy transaction hash;
- Query via Pearl Network block explorer;
- Verify on-chain transaction status;
- Verify payment address;
- Check wallet status;
- Check receiving platform deposit status;
- Check minimum deposit amount;
- Wait for sufficient network confirmations;
- Contact wallet service provider if necessary.
If the chain shows the transaction as successful, KuPool has completed payment.
15. Auto-Start and Fault Recovery
15.1 Windows Auto-Start on Boot
Procedure:
- Create a shortcut for start_prl.bat;
- Press Win + R;
- Enter shell:startup;
- Open the startup folder;
- Place the shortcut into the folder;
- Restart the miner to test.
15.2 Delayed Startup
After boot, multi-GPU miners may require some time for GPU drivers to finish loading.
You can set via Windows Task Scheduler:
- Run after system login;

- Run with highest privileges;
- Restart program automatically after abnormal exit.
15.3 Auto Recovery
You can use:
- Mining kernel watchdog;

- Mining farm monitoring systems.
Auto-restart cannot replace proper troubleshooting.
If the same miner frequently restarts, check GPU, drivers, power supply, temperature, parameters, and proxy status.
